Façade installation in London
An installation package starts with the system, sequence and responsibilities.
The access method comes after that.
SFA reviews defined façade installation packages where the drawings, specification and project requirements provide a basis for establishing the work.
Define the package
Send system drawings, installation specification, component schedule or quantities, elevations, programme and relevant inspection requirements. The first review should establish what is actually being installed, where and under whose technical authority.
Plan access and material movement together
An installation position is only useful if the components can be delivered to it safely and in the required sequence.
The proposal may need to address storage, lifting or handling, access routes, working positions, adjacent trades, protection, inspection points and handover. The access method should be chosen around those requirements.
Scope boundaries
A façade installation enquiry does not automatically include façade-system design, structural calculations, fire-safety design or certification, manufacturer approval, or engineering sign-off. Where these duties apply, responsibility must be established separately.
A local repair is different
Replacing a defined damaged component within an existing façade is not necessarily the same commercial or technical package as new installation.
Where the requirement is localised remedial work, use the façade repairs service instead.
