Sky Facade Access Ltd is a London-focused specialist contractor for difficult-access façade work.
The company is led by Mladen Dimitrov, an IRATA Level 3 rope access professional. His experience informs SFA’s approach to access planning and work at height. Specialist trade, design and engineering responsibilities are established for each package.
Work, access and responsibility
A façade problem needs a clear connection between the building condition, the physical work and the access method. SFA starts by establishing:
- what needs doing;
- what information is missing;
- how the area can be reached appropriately;
- what competence the task requires;
- what the client should receive when the work is finished.
Who coordinates the work
SFA takes a direct, founder-led approach to scope, access and commercial coordination.
Where additional specialist trade or delivery competence is required, that resource is identified and checked for the particular package before appointment.
If SFA accepts the work, responsibilities are defined for the project.
Access competence is only one part of the job
Reaching a façade component does not make someone competent to repair, specify or certify it.
Glazing, specialist sealants, façade systems, structural assessment and design can each require their own competence and authority.
SFA does not use rope access certification to imply those disciplines.
